Update on My Demographic

Those of you who are fit though few--you know who you are, as it is sign of being fit that you know who you are--shall remember this post. It is not unrelated to these series of posts on the plight of bitter white guys in the us. And it has something to do with a recent story on Rammstein in the New York Times, though that writer should have mentioned Laibach who sang the lovely lyric Leben heis Leben, which dimly reminds PK of lebensraum, something is no doubt not unrelated to this small coinage, it a charming invention of a journalist wno doubt one who thought amerikan men were getting soft (the question is, if we have a manifest destiny, i.e. "explicit" (think of a ship's manifest), then do we not also have a latent one--discuss!?)rather far back in the day. In other words, "My Demographic" continues my thinking "angry-white-maleismm," but in a different key.

The Hugo House presentation went pretty well, but I realized I needed more clarity. I will be looking for a "focus group" for "My Demographic", my on-going inquiry into gen-ideology--the pop social science of generation speak (Boomers, X'ers, Y'ers, Nex'ers?). I want to begin with people of "my demographic" which certainly means in your thirties. Ideally, this would be a public event, with perhaps a ritual flogging, but in the mean time just a chat over a drink or scintillating email thread will have to do. So, what are you waiting for?
